A Story About Pam

A childhood story I would like to share........Connection with Animals
I’ve known I could communicate with animals way before I understood my other abilities.  My Mother used to tell a story about a very young me, barely able to walk, who she had left sitting on the front lawn on a blanket for “just a second” to go inside for something.  When she returned, I was standing at the edge of our yard, holding out my hand to a very large dog.  As she held her breath, expecting the dog to bite me or worse, she saw the dog put his head down to me so I could touch his head.  I just love that story.  I have no memory of this.

Another story..........Healer
As a youngster, I had outside male cats.  They were only outside because my Dad was not a fan of cats.  They were always bringing me their "gifts" of an injured or dead animal.  I would gently take the injured rabbit, bird or whatever out of their mouths and bring into our garage, where I had a box especially for the injured.  It had a towel inside and I would place the injured animal in the box and watch over it.   Mom didn't say what I was doing with it but I spent time, every day, out there in the garage until it died.  I have a vague memory of holding them and crying when they died.  My Mom would always help me bury the animal in our backyard and she says I always said a few words.

Another story..........Teacher
Some children play with their dolls, dressing them up, etc.  I used to take all my dolls and stuffed animals and place them in chairs in a row, in front of my chalkboard.  I had one of those that was on legs and I would set up my room like a classroom.  I had a special chair just for my chihuahua, Peanut, in the front row.  I would dress her in a baby doll dress and when she was in class, her name was Cindy, not Peanut.  Mom says I was quite bossy.  I guess I've been a teacher since childhood.
